Randy Brown got involved in the family business shortly out of high school. He worked under his father Lyle Brown for many years. During this time, they were able to grow the business serving the Chatham market. Randy took over the business following the untimely passing of Lyle in 1983 and he continued growing the business from that point forward. He established Brown’s Auto Supply as a mainstay in the Chatham-Kent community while expanding into surrounding markets such as Sarnia, Windsor and London. He decided to take on AkzoNobel products in 1988 and was further able to solidify Brown’s as a market leader. He continued in the role until passing the business onto his son Justin Brown. He remains actively involved in the business today. He can always be spotted on the waters of Lake St Clair when he isn’t mixing paint at Brown’s.
