Meet The Team

Justin is currently the Head of Brown’s Auto Supply, but he has been with the company his whole life in different capacities. He started working at Brown’s when he was 16 years old by delivering to customers, working the counter and mixing paint as a summer student. Once he finished high school and went onto post secondary at University of Waterloo, he came back to Chatham in 1999 to work full time at Brown’s. He began learning the business and from there started taking over for Randy in 2005. He successfully expanded the business over the next 15 years to include 4 locations across southern Ontario. He is also an active member on several boards including current president of ACWL since 2018. When he’s not working, he is an avid golfer and plays beer league hockey in the winter.

In 2019, Ian joined Brown’s as our Strategic Accounts Manager. With over 15 years of experience, he started as a Counterperson for a local, independently owned distributor. During the next 10 years he would hold various other positions within the company, including Purchaser, Account Manager, Sales Manager and General Manager. The company would eventually be acquired by a multi-national corporation in 2017. Ian has dedicated much of his career into developing and nurturing relationships. He believes that strong relationships are key to the success of any business and that those relationships are built on a foundation of integrity and trust. Being genuinely invested in the success of his customers and always striving to make a difference, are what keep Ian motivated. He is always up for a challenge and is fully committed to having a positive impact. Not only is he a paint expert, he is also an aficionado of craft beer and Angus beef so he has all of the angles covered.

Richard is our Business Solutions Manager. He has worked in the collision industry for over 40 years, coming up through the ranks from apprentice to general manager. He has worked in various collision environments (dealer owned collision centres, independents, and banners). He started his management career in the UK working for a large MSO as general manager for their Mercedes division. He specializes in lean processes, financial accountability, OE partnerships and team building. He came on board with Browns after 35 years of successfully managing collision centres and taking them to the next level. He joined Browns because as a progressive, customer orientated, family run business, he shares the same values. He wanted to lend his expertise to get Brown’s Partners to the next level. His passion is cooking and he has never found an Indian dish that is spicy enough for his liking.

Steve has been a Tech advisor for Brown’s Auto Supply for 10 years. He has been painting for almost 30 years and has worked in collision repair and restoration shops until he joined Brown’s Auto Supply. He is our resident Paint expert with an incredible amount of experience and wealth of knowledge that is second to none. As part of our industry experienced Tech team, he utilizes his firsthand experiences to help you with anything you need. He is passionately stubborn about the paint business which earned him the nickname “rhino”. His hobbies include restoring classic cars and has been spotted driving pull tractors in his down time.

Brian serves as a tech/account manager for Brown’s. He has been with the company since 2018 and came on board following his tenure as manager with the APC paint division. He also served as branch manager for the AkzoNobel Corp. store in Etobicoke. Brian is a hard working, devoted employee that always has the best interests of his customers in mind. He is extremely responsive to customer needs and will go above and beyond to get the job done right!

Peter is our newest Tech advisor. He has been in the collision industry for over 15 years working his way through the ranks. He started his career detailing and then moved to prep and paint and after a few years he moved to heavy collision repair. After a successful career on the floor, Peter became an estimator and then Bodyshop Manager. His vast experience and practical experience in the shop makes him an excellent addition to our tech team. His hidden talent of marketing has also led him into website design and social media guru at Browns.

Al is the Operations Manager at Brown’s Auto Supply. He has been with the company for over 11 years, starting as a part time delivery driver and working his way up the ranks of the company. When we need to get something done, Al is our guy. Before Brown’s, Al was working in the manufacturing and marine sectors and spent several years in retail management. Born and raised in Erieau, Al loves boating and camping and is an avid Detroit Tigers and Las Vegas Raiders fan.

After working in a body shop for 21 years dealing with customers, insurance companies, and rental companies, Sherry had been dealing with Brown’s for years and decided to make a change and started working for Brown’s in December of 2017. When she is not dotting I’s and crossing t’s doing bookkeeping for Brown's she can be seen at the racetrack cheering on her partner who drag races motorcycles.

Jim has been in the autobody supply business for 47 years. Before becoming a part of the Brown’s Auto Supply team he worked for AkzoNobel, High Performance Coatings, and Auto Parts Centres. When he’s not working Jim has a passion for classic cars and is a member of a local car club in his hometown.

Kyle was looking to get a start in the automotive industry and decided join Brown’s Auto Supply in 2018. Since then, he has made himself an integral part of our delivery team. Kyle goes above and beyond for customers at all times. He is a musician in his downtime and plays lead guitar with a local rock band.

Ryan was in sales before he became part of the Brown’s Auto Supply team in 2019. He has a passion for everything car related and that passion is easy to see in his work.

Shane worked in the Retail Furniture, Appliance, and Electronics industry for 14 years and the HVAC Industry for 12 years installing and servicing heating and cooling equipment as well as a gas fitter. He had an injury that took away his abilities to continue in the HVAC industry and in the rehabilitation process Browns Auto Supply gave him an opportunity to regain meaningful employment to use his skills in a technical and retail environment in February of 2018. He has excelled in his position and looks after all customers large and small.

Vincent joined the Brown’s team in 2018 when we expanded into Cambridge. Since then he has come to earn the respect and admiration of the new customer base. He is a very process driven, hard working employee and little known fact, he can solve a Rubix cube in under 15 seconds.
